Reviews
This is a great place to book ski lessons.
Great instructors, and great language skills (Italian, German, English)
The food in the restaurant it's is amazing quality, and for a good price.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
For skiing, the slopes are nice to start of with. A baby slope, a blue slope, and a red one.
There are connections to other slopes in the area.
Overall, this was a 5-Star experience for me.
Room: there was a bit lacking, but it was fine. I slept on the pullout bed, so I cannot speak to the comfortability of the beds other than that the linens were very nice. However, my traveling partner said they had a great night’s sleep. The bathroom in our room was a bit weird (toilet in a separate bathroom from the bidet) but it was very clean, the towels were very high quality, the provided toiletries were very nice, and the water heat/pressure was perfect. The view was beautiful, though, and the rooms can be easily darkened at night with the shutters and blinds. Be aware: there is no air conditioning, so it does get a little hot at night in the summer. Keeping the windows open at night is no problem since there aren’t very many bugs and the area is very, very safe. Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars.
Staff: The staff at this hotel exceed every expectation. The folks at the front desk are very willing to accommodate and offer helpful, even vital, advice to visitors to the Tre Cime/Drei Zinnen area. We unfortunately did not get a chance to hike with the guides, but they offer about 5-6 guided hikes per week included with the room. The waiters are also very friendly and helpful. Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars
Food: Warning: if you do not opt for the dinners at the hotel, you are seriously missing out!! The quality to price ratio is really mind boggling - for two nights, it is 18€/person/meal if you are staying at the hotel. They offer absolutely divine dinners with many local and locally-inspired recipes. Eating here helped me understand that there are no bad foods, only bad preparation, as I otherwise would not have eaten pea soup or veal with tuna sauce if they were not prepared by so talented a kitchen! The dessert, too, was one of the most delightful things I’ve ever eaten - it was a raspberry lemon-creme red velvet cake, and I would bathe in it if I could! The breakfast buffet is also amazing. It really makes you feel as though you were staying at the Grand Budapest - they have loads of croissants, fresh bread, juice pressed minutes ago, assortments of nuts, muesli, and fresh and dried fruits, eggs prepared any way you want, a big samovar for tea, cheeses, cold cut meats, and other delights. Also, I’ve never stayed at a hotel where you have your *own* table and you return to the same table every meal. It’s a little touch, but it enhances it even more. Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars
Other facilities/notes: we have not tried the sauna/pool area yet, but may after our hike today. The front desk lends quality hiking gear for the unprepared, and it’s included with the room.
Overall Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars. The staff, facilities, and wealth of opportunities and excursions at the Hotel Kreuzberg are absolutely wonderful, and the breathtaking location in the Kreuzberg Pass all work together to make a breathtaking, entrancing experience that reminds one of an Old World Hotel stay. It is worth every cent!
I was very pleasantly surprised with a VEGAN option- veggie burger.
Best Kaiserschmarren in the Dolomites! The restaurant here is fantastic! Stopped on a ski around the Drei Zinnen/Tre Cime di Lavaredo and was very pleasantly surprised.
The cold cuts plate was great, so was the carbonara and fried egg with bacon and potatoes (spiegelei). Above all the Kaiserschmarren was amazing!
Service was also great and quick. All in all a very nice experience.
If you're looking at this review on Google maps then you'll probably realise that this hotel is quite far from Sexten Center, so don't stay here if you're attending a conference in Sexten. Otherwise a decent hotel, although I don't see how it got a four star rating.Staff are very friendly. Room is ok, but mine did not have a usable table/desk. Good internet available, but you can only connect one device at a time.
I've been here for two days and so far my experience has been amazing. Especially the pool and sauna have been surprisingly great.
Excellent food and very attentive staff, always cheerful!
Very nice place, great food.
